Attendance is extremely important to the success of your child's education. Good attendance is missing not more than 1 day of school a month, whether excused or unexcused. Chronically absent is when you miss 18 school days a year or 2 days a month. Your child has three days from the day they return to school in which to turn in any excuses for their absences.

On those occasions when your child is unable to attend, there are several ways to turn in excuses:

1) Turn in the hard copy of the parent or doctor note to the main office, Mrs. Kuhn, or Mrs. Jarrell.

2) Scan the QR code and complete the form to use a parent note.

3) Scan or take a picture of your excuse and email it to Mrs. Jarrell - mdwalsh@k12.wv.us

4) Fax the excuse to the school @ 304-855-1911.
